Questions & Answers
Frequently asked questions from our clients.
1. How should I dispose of asbestos?
It is against the law to dispose of any asbestos waste using the kerbside household waste collection service or the Household Waste Recycling Centres. You must make arrangements with a specialist contractor for collection and disposal of any asbestos.
2. Where do you dispose of the waste?
As a responsible asbestos removal company, Smart Asbestos Solutions ensure hazardous waste is disposed of via a trusted and reputable waste transfer station. Customers receive the correct documentation and consignment notes for proof of the legitimate disposal method.
3. What are my legal obligations?
If you own or are responsible for commercial non-domestic or domestic properties, you are required by law to identify and safely manage any asbestos within your buildings. The law states that asbestos materials must be identified in buildings, especially when carrying out refurbishment works, negating needless exposure and damage to peoples' health.
4. Are you licensed to carry out works?
Smart Asbestos Solutions have a waste removal carrier license. We are also accredited by Trust A Trader, the Environment Agency and CSCS.
